“ This place absolutely SMACKS! The donuts here are what your typical donut shoppe wants to be, has the most freshest, airiest, slight crisp to it donuts I have ever come to taste. The crumb donuts are my favorite but the turnovers here are out of this world! The only reason I know of this place is through my job, this is usually their subtle way of telling us good job and by good, I take as a high compliment because these donuts are an excellent reward. Thanks for the hookup. ”
“ First time here and Wow super fresh and light tasting mini jelly filled donuts. I really appreciated the cute pink striped box too, made a nice presentation for sharing with friends ”
“ Been getting donuts and hot drinks here for years so my review is long overdue. The chocolate old fashioned is the absolute best I've had and I've tried them at a lot of places. It has a little bit of crunch that makes it next level. The hot chocolate is great and coffee is perfect side for the donut. The service is quick and the family is very friendly. It's a small local shop that is very consistent. It also has free easy parking or a short walk to the bay to eat your donut and enjoy bird watching. ”
“ The donuts were fresh & customer service was nice... It looked clean was it was a little pricey but that was ok ”
“ Best donuts in Alameda! The donuts always tastes fresh, not like they were fried in old oil. The owners are always friendly. They remember my entire family including my toddler. They throw a couple of extra donut holes in the bag for her when she comes in with me. I love supporting this neighborhood business. ”
“ Lee's Donuts inside Neptune Plaza has probably been here for 30+ years. I used to rent an apartment across the street, and it was a West Alameda favorite already. I have never had a bad experience here. Always a cheerful hello in the morning. Donuts are fresh and delicious! Free parking in plaza lot. ”
“ The gentleman who runs this joint is a little gruff. His customer service skills are not the greatest. But then again, I don't come here for the service. Lee's Donuts sells standard run of the mill donuts. I ordered an apple fritter on my last visit and the price was $3. This is a bit pricey, but everything is pricey these days. Lee's Donuts sits in a busy strip mall at the base of Webster Street. The parking lot is hectic and crowded, but there is always a free parking spot. Many people go here early in the morning for the coffee. Never tried it myself but from the looks of the early-morning hustle and bustle, it must be pretty good coffee. ”
“ My 1st visit to Lee's Donuts. I went based on prior Yelp reviews. It was a little out of the way from work, and I wouldn't have seen it if I wasn't using Google direction finder. It is situated in a strip mall and partially hidden by the mall's facade. They have a wide variety of Donuts. I also decided to order breakfast for me and my coworker. I ordered the crescent egg and cheese sandwich. I was told the crescent oil hand made fresh every morning. The sandwich was tasty. Next time, I should add bacon or sausage. I also ordered 2 apple fritters. Every was fresh and delicious. ”
“ First timer -- and the service was amazing! Imagine an early weekend morning where it is it's busiest and your girl, Kat, is craving doughnuts She opens her trusty, dandy Yelp app and finds, Lee's Donuts. Kat enters and the place is already filled with laughter between customers and staff members. It seems like a joyous place to come first thing in the morning. She shows them a picture of a side cut view of a chocolate chip doughnut and low and behold she finds the last one from the freshest batch. It was still warm! The staff members continue to joke with her just as if she was a regular. She was told that the owner, Lee is sitting right by the window greeting each customer as they visit his store and he was. I love that this is a small town business, still thriving even during COVID. I would say 5 STARS for the service and quality of dough on the doughnut we tried. The bread was soft and fluffy. Not days old tasting like Hometown Doughnuts in Alameda. This particular type of chocolate chip donut also had a chocolate filling inside plus more chocolate chips at the center! What would make this even more amazing is a Nutella filling!!! What sets this shop above the rest is 100% the quality of customer service given. Please consider giving it a visit ”
